Entry#EC Food Inc.

Hello! man oh man watching the film "Food Inc" was quite interesting. Disturbing at times, and frustrating, it saddens me to know that major companies don't care about the consumers of the food and the poor animals. Some food companies shown were the ones I grew up on like " Tyson" the chemicals that these chickens go through just to be grown in a few days rather than the average time they grow is truly sad. It took a lot for me to finish this movie but really opened my eyes to these major companies that are exposing people and farmers to such strong chemicals and belittles them from their jobs.

The government protecting these companies truly does show how messed up out system really is. They would rather protect the companies than the people and lives these companies are effecting. I don't like the idea of the food I am consuming on a daily basis is being "engineered" by other people than being naturally grown. The misleading advertisement and commercials is one of the many issues in today's food industry.

It was shocking to see that almost 90% of the processed food had corn or soybean in it. The cheap prices in fast-food places and grocery stores are a big reason why we have the biggest obesity problem because it will cost you less to buy a burger from Mc Donald's rather than buying veggies or fruits. A lot of people are disconnected to something intimate as the food we eat that the food producers have been given a higher level of influence.

We need to make organic food more affordable than junk foods. Reducing the amount of times we go to fast- food chains and cook at home with our families is a good start to a healthy living life style. This film is truly a eye opener to the food we think is "healthy" just because it says it on the box. I hope one day we can shut big companies that are only putting people in health risk down. Coming together and changing our eating habit's one day at a time is a big set to moving forward.
